This website was established in the summer of 2020 in an effort to locate other individuals or businesses who may have had their car damaged by car covers purchased on Amazon or elsewhere. I, unknowingly, purchased a number of car covers from Amazon between 2019 and 2020. I placed these covers on multiple cars thinking these vehicles would now be safe from the sun, weather and other elements.
In early 2020 we noticed one of our cars headlights were cracked and that there was a substance stuck to the paint on some of the vehicles. Soon after, we discovered other cars showing signs of damage and the connection we made was they all had the same car cover purchased on Amazon. These car covers purchased from Amazon Prime are sold under the brand name OxGord and look like the cover photographed here.
After many attempts to gain help from Amazon, we were continuously directed towards the vendors. These vendors promised to continue communications and assist with teh problem, but no help ever came. Amazon continues to direct us towrd the vendors and will not provide any assistance.
This website is in the early stages of development and I am currently seeking others who have had the same problem. We cannot just sit back and absorb thousand of dollars of damage to our vehicles without receiving reimbursement from Amazon or the vendors that sold the covers. if you purchased a car cover from Amazon or any other vendor and your vehicle was damaged, I would like to hear from you.
